Ayr Cycling Skills Block (evening) - 2 July – 30 July

Description

Monday 02 July

Want to get out on your bike more often but aren`t sure of the roads? Come along to our cycling skills sessions and we`ll teach you how to cycle safely on local roads. It`s easier than you think, and completely free.

Participants must be willing to wear a helmet and able to ride a bike. We don`t care about speed, only safety. If you would like to come along but don`t know how to ride a bike, let us know and we`ll organise a 1:1 beginners session for you.

Sessions run as a progressive 5 week block and last between 60 and 90 minutes. As they are progressive participants would be expected to be able to attend the majority of sessions. Please let us know beforehand by message, email or phone if you would like to come, and if you are using your own bike or one of ours. Over 16s only please.

Meeting point is at the bike racks by the front of the Citadel, every Monday 5.30-7pm.

Week 1 - 2nd July – Traffic free environment. Basic bike control and balance.
Week 2 – 9th July - Quiet roads and cycling infrastructure. Signalling and turning at T junctions and crossroads.
